Erin Joan Lamberty is a NYC-based yoga practitioner, student, and teacher. She received her RYT 200 certification in February 2015 at Sacred Sounds Yoga in her beloved Greenwich Village neighborhood under the guidance of senior teachers Adrienne Burke, Joe Miller, Liz Mandarano, and Jill Camera. She is also trained in restorative yoga.

Her approach to yoga is rooted in the idea of interdependence — everything is connected. Erin believes that by moving the body, we connect with our minds, which leads to a greater awareness of our actions both on and off the mat.

Erin teaches with the intention to calm the mind through asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and dharana (focused attention). Her classes provide an opportunity to develop a connection to the present moment through mindful movements that build strength, flexibility, and balance.

Originally from Minnesota, Erin sold everything she owned and moved to New York in 2009. Her professional experience working at startups and facilitating workshops on human-centered design brings empathy and experimentation to her practice. Cycling is her second favorite form of moving meditation.
